Not particularly surprising that Theresa May's interviews are curtailed as she is terrible at it. Once she runs out of the trained soundbites she is incapable of thinking on her feet and never, ever answers the question. I know that is what politicians do but it really pisses me off. As for the Marr interview on Sunday she is bloody lucky that Andrew Neil no longer does that show as she would have been totally eviscerated,

Surface - who said I was upset? Just bemused, really. But you keep on with your line of personal abuse if that's what you get off on.

The BBC interviewed her on Sunday. They need to reign it in. Funny though that Corbynites think the media is out to get them.

I am not sure why this thread has so many posts! I am also not sure where the point went.
Is there a point coming?

The BBC and other national broadcasters have warned Theresa May not to act like Donald Trump after accusing her of avoiding interviews at Conservative Party Conference.

At last a measured response, and I understand where you're coming from.
This is probably comparing apples & oranges though, but, as an individual, I was always taught to look after myself. This includes "squirrelling" money away for a time that I am no longer earning (enough) to support my daily needs.
Now. I have no idea of how much I'll need, or when that day will come, so it's common sense to err on the side of caution and accumulate as much wealth as I (not somebody else) think I will need.
One thing I certainly don't want is to spend 40 years building that pot of money up, only for a government to arbitrarily take it all from me and give it to somebody they have decided is more deserving.
Where better to put that money than where said government cannot get their filthy hands on it?

Which was the needless was?
The first gulf war against a tyrant or the 2nd where Bush and Blair lied about certain weapons?
All politics is shit and has always just been full of liars etc.
People are generally no better or worse off no matter who is in charge and I've only ever been made redundant (twice) under Labour rule after they cocked up the countries finances.
In reality it could have happened if the Tories were in charge so I didn't bitch about it, just went and got another job both times.
Literally having so much hate for something like a political party is bloody odd and only happens with labour supporters.

Fair question, but the answer is obviously that there is a considerable grey area between the black and white of wealthy and working class. Also, there are clearly some people who come from a working class background and do very well for themselves. But I'm not talking about that.
I'm talking about the sort of people who have enough dosh to make it worth their while to use tax havens, which I would like to see entirely closed down and put out of business. I'm talking about the sort of people who are shareholders in the railways and private health companies, whose considerable slice of the pie puts up prices and reduces efficiency for the rest of us. Not that state ownership of the railways, for example, is a panacea for all ills. I'm old enough to remember the days of British Rail. But I would rather have a state-owned shambles than a privately-owned shambles where massive dividends are being paid out to wealthy shareholders. Unfortunately we live in an imperfect world where too many people are playing the system for what they can get, whatever the politics of the government. But we have to do better at creating a fairer society and that's why I hate the Tories so much.
